In The Present
Every blog has to start somewhere, and the purpose of this post is just to make sure that somewhere is actually here. I'll be writing about two of my favorite things on this blog, the past and the future. The present is for the birds.
Next Year, Last Century
I've been fascinated by old newspapers as a source for contextual history ever since reading Hebrew newspapers published in Russia over a hundred years ago. Contrasting the past with the future can be great fun, especially in these days when everybody can see the future and nobody can agree about the past.
